What is Kred?

Kred is your reputation score on REICommunity — a real-time measure of how much value you bring to the network of 24,800+ real estate investors.

The idea behind Kred

Real estate is a trust business. Whether you're trying to find a private lender, a joint-venture partner, or a motivated seller — people need to know you're credible before they'll work with you.

Kred makes that credibility visible. Every discussion you start, every question you answer, and every deal you post earns you points that compound over time. Unlike a LinkedIn endorsement you can ask a friend for, Kred is earned — not given.

The higher your score, the more the community trusts you — and the more opportunities find their way to your inbox.

How we keep Kred honest

Kred only means something if it can't be gamed. Here's what we do to protect it.

Content quality filters

Posts and comments are scanned for low-effort patterns — single-word replies, copy-paste spam, and keyword stuffing. These earn zero Kred and may be removed.

Rate limiting

There's a ceiling on how much Kred you can earn per day. Posting 50 times in an hour won't accelerate your score — it'll flag your account for review.

Vote ring detection

Our system tracks voting patterns across accounts. When a cluster of new accounts consistently upvotes the same member, those votes are discarded and the accounts are flagged.

No self-voting

You can't upvote your own posts or comments. Votes from accounts you created or invited within the past 30 days are also excluded from your score.

Community reporting

Any member can flag content as spam or low quality. Three independent flags trigger a moderation review. Confirmed spam is deleted and the Kred is reversed.

Score audits

Moderators can audit any member's Kred history — every point has a paper trail. Accounts found manipulating Kred are reset to zero and may be banned.

What happens if you're caught gaming the system?

First offense: Kred earned through manipulation is reversed and the relevant posts are removed. Second offense: account suspension. Repeated violations result in a permanent ban. We take integrity seriously — a fake Kred score hurts every legitimate member who earned theirs.

Why Kred matters

Your score isn't just a number — it's your reputation working for you 24/7.

Instant credibility

Your Kred badge appears everywhere — posts, comments, your profile. Other investors know at a glance whether you're new or a proven contributor.

More visibility

Higher-Kred members get featured in the member directory and recommended in local groups. The algorithm surfaces active contributors.

Attract deals and capital

Private lenders and equity partners browse profiles before reaching out. A strong Kred score signals you're serious and active — not a ghost account.

Unlock trust signals

Some deals and partnerships are only offered to Expert+ members. Build Kred to get inside those conversations before they're public.

Tips to grow your Kred fast

01

Answer questions in the Getting Started forum — new investors always need help, and detailed answers earn consistent upvotes.

02

Post a deal, even if it's your first one. Deal Kred is the highest-value category and shows you're actively transacting, not just lurking.

03

Share a lesson learned — a short success story or mistake breakdown is the most upvoted content type on the platform.

04

Be consistent. 2–3 quality posts per week compounds faster than a burst of activity once a month.

05

Complete your profile. Members with photos, bios, and locations get 3× more profile views — leading to more messages and upvotes on your posts.
